Using the finest cacao, and a modern take on traditional European technique, Dick Taylor takes dark, rich California Black Mission figs and pairs it with their Madagascar chocolate.

The cacao they use hails from Bertil Akesson’s plantation in the Sambirano Valley of Madagascar. It was the first cacao they ever purchased and made into chocolate, and it's still going strong.

This sophisticated, beautiful, and incredible bar is absolutely divine to eat. The chewy texture of the figs is so satisfying. Their jammy, molasses-like taste blends perfectly with the citrus and nut notes of the chocolate. It is fruity, bright, and long-roasted. The fig adds incredible depth and just seems to belong to this bar.

This is currently my favorite from Dick Taylor Chocolate. I can undoubtedly feel the love and care that went into creating it.
