Map Chocolate is a craft chocolate company coming out of Oregon. Chocolate maker Mackenzie Rivers is a professional pastry chef and after years of work, she devoted her full-time attention to cacao and chocolate. While you will find some single origin bars from Map, Mackenzie specializes in interesting inclusion bars that you’d never find anywhere else. Like the toasted black sesame w/ black lava salt bar, or the granola w/ smoked cardamom bar, and the peach pie bar that is meant to be paired with her w/ ginger graham crust bar. Even though you’ll often see words like “pie crust” or “brownies” on her label, you’ll find that most of her bars are Gluten Free and Vegan.
Patric Chocolate is one of the first bean-to-bar chocolate companies to start in this country, specifically in 2006. Alan McClure is one of the most talented and experienced chocolate makers to date, and it reflects in everything he does. Patric has a few origin bars but also specializes in mostly interesting inclusion bars that no one else has ever done. Like the Red Coconut Curry, the Blood Orange Dark, or the Peanut Butter and Jelly. The texture and intricacies of his chocolate are amazing.
We only have room for 35 guests and are inviting the Utah Chocolate Society branches, so make sure to jump on purchasing tickets if you are interested! In addition to Map and Patric, we will have many chocolate bars for sale after the event and take cash, Venmo, or credit card.
